1st anniversary of the Olympic Games: fights, crowd movements, people crushed, incivility... The "free concert" of rapper Tiakola in La Courneuve (93) marked by excesses. "We're not going to ruin this..."

The rapper performed for the first time in his hometown at a free show organized by the Seine-Saint-Denis department . The audience's ridiculous behavior greatly marred the evening. (…)
DJ Milan Tavares kicked off the set shortly before 7 p.m. In the crowd, fans played cards. Others, middle school and high school students, thought they were clever enough to push everyone else to get to the front. The majority of the audience identified themselves as Congolese, Algerian, Senegalese, Ivorian, Malian, or Cameroonian, when the venue manager reviewed each person's origins .
The wait is long. (…)
9 p.m. strikes, everyone is waiting for Tiakola. But the atmosphere is bad. Supposed fans knock others over and delay the arrival of the singer, who is already ready to go on stage. A first disturbance. "Please calm down, otherwise we won't be able to start ," the venue manager asks them. "Please be kind, the concert is free. There are children with us, families. Tell me if we have to cancel?" (...)
After this call to order, which lasted about ten minutes, Tiakola made his entrance. He began his show, alongside his DJ, with his single Si j'savais , which was followed by TIA . The rapper was however forced to interrupt in the middle of the song. "We're not going to ruin this ," Tiakola called out. "Be slow in front. There are families, brothers and sisters. Otherwise I won't be able to continue. Please get people out." Tiakola transformed himself into a policeman, almost all evening . (…)
But each time he is forced to interrupt his performance to bring order to the chaos. This lasts several minutes again. "We are here to celebrate, you are here, you are messing up," laments one of his colleagues. People have reportedly come to blows in the crowd. Shoes fly, landing on the heads of spectators who have asked nothing of anyone. Worse, a wig is seen in the air. It is an open-air circus. A spectator, in the crowd, allows herself to joke : "What do you expect, we are in the 93." Wry laughter all around her. (...)
